Tensei Elf Teaser PV, Episode 1 Footage, and Visual

Ries Begins a Second Life With 1,000 Years Ahead of Him

Ries' first life ends suddenly in an accident. When he awakens again, he has been reincarnated as an elf with a lifespan of roughly a millennium.

Regret over leaving little behind in his previous life drives him to use his second chance differently. After developing his magical abilities, Ries leaves the elven settlement and begins a journey to create proof that he once lived.

Minori Becomes an Important Encounter on His Journey

One of the people who returns to Ries' life is Minori, a girl he once saved. The official introduction places their reunion at the center of the anime's premise.

Their different lifespans also shape the story. Decades can become only a fraction of Ries' life, while the humans he encounters experience time on a dramatically different scale.

Daiki Yamashita and Kana Hishikawa Lead the Cast

Daiki Yamashita voices Ries and Kana Hishikawa plays Minori. Yamashita has described Ries' story as a life journey moving according to “elf time,” giving his experiences and emotional conflicts a distinct perspective.

studio Palette is producing the animation, with Yuki Inaba serving as both director and series composition lead.

Episode 1 Footage Is Already Available

In addition to the teaser PV, the production released the opening portion of Episode 1 in September, showing the beginning of Ries' new life before his much longer journey unfolds.

An exact premiere date, broadcaster, streaming platform, additional cast, and opening and ending themes have not yet been announced.

Why This Matters

1) Ries' 1,000-year lifespan shapes the story

His longevity is not simply an advantage; it changes his relationship with the shorter-lived people around him.

2) The story centers on travel and legacy

Ries is not only searching for greater power. He wants to leave something behind that proves he existed.

3) Viewers can already see the opening of Episode 1

Official pre-release footage provides an early sense of the adaptation's tone before the January broadcast.
